How Are You Spending the Summer?
Jul 07, 2003 --
Your life and times are more interesting than you think. Why not submit stories about your travels and experiences to TCHS Alumni News?
We have two ways to bring your friends and classmates up to date on your experiences. First, we use the Mailbag feature to present brief travel notes along with career changes, births, marriages (not necessarily in that order) etc. Longer articles are also welcome. If you travel on business, consider a regular column about your work or the locations you visit. Photos are also welcome.
You can help bring the world to TC and to all the places alumni now reside.
We're happy to provide some editorial support. Just send your reasonably complete text and digital pictures (be selective, please) to the editor.

How I spent my summer vacation, by Janice Helmer.
Hahahaha! Ask my brother, Mike Helmer. We set off last week for a couple of fun days in Laughlin, NV, his wife and kids in tow. His van broke down in Needles, made it to a gas station. Ended up all of us spending a night in a motel room only to find the gas station couldn't fix the van and we needed to take it to a dealer. Did that, rented a car so we could get to Laughlin....he blew the engine. Didn't win big in Laughlin, got back to Pomona area. Ended up getting the father of a friend to tow the van back to L.A. to have a rebuild engine installed.
I did buy a $10 ring that hasn't turned my finger green yet. So all in all it hasn't been a total bust! |
