TC Schools to Celebrate 50 Years
Sep 03, 2004 --
Save the Dates!: October 15-17, 2004! Join friends, neighbors and fellow alumni and celebrate the 50th anniversary of Temple City Unified School District & TC High School.
Details and more are available at the Celebration Site (tcusd50.org).
Great Companion Ideas
Other events complementing the anniversary are being planned.
- Getaway Weekend!
- Southern Californians: Why drive back and forth? Plan a getaway weekend; we've arranged great deals at the Westin Pasadena and the Holiday Inn Monrovia.
- Pacific Cruise
- October 18-22: Sail with classmates, friends and neighbors to Catalina and Baja California. Reserve early for premium accommodations.
Key Dates and Anniversary Events
- September 26 - Garden Party
- The executive committee planning the celebration will hold a “Garden Party” at the home of well-known teacher and musical director Roger Lockie. All friends of this community reunion event are invited.
- October 15 - Homecoming
- The Rams will appear in the role of the Athenians for yet another drubbing of the (La Cañada) Spartans. Wear TCHS colors to create a sea of green at North Field.
- A special ceremony will rededicate the track and football field and stadium in honor of Art North and Bob Hitchcock.
- October 16 - Community Festival
- Something for every member of the TC family. Class and organization booths (reserve yours now); classic (pre-1972) car show (enter your car).
- Band Reunion: The Pride of TC will assemble on Saturday during the Anniversary Celebration.
- October 17 - Honors Luncheon
- We'll honor 50 prominent alumni nominated by the community.
