UPDATE 10/09/04 - We've added a new feature to the system to help us combat the attrition of contact data. The Update Contacts page has an automated list of persons whose alumni email is obsolete.
If your name appears there, you'll need to contact the editor for instructions on updating your address. By the way, this site is constantly indexed by search engines, so if you or your friends every do a search on your name the page showing you as missing may appear. You'll be (in)famous from Temple City to Timbuktu. If this is not what you want, keep your address updated. |
If you're a friend or relation, please ask these folks to contact the editor, or send us their email addresses. (As we get updates we'll remove names.) Thanks.
Step 2
Remember to keep your own record up to date. Instructions are in the Membership section.
Step 3
There's no reason to lose anyone ever again. By special arrangement with our web host, subscribers to TCHS Alumni News can have a personal alumni mailbox. Your address will be similar to YOUR.NAME@TCHSALUMNI.ORG. Your messages can be read directly from our server using any mail program; just set up your mail program to get mail from our server in addition to checking your regular mail at your ISP.
And it gets better: For anyone who subscribes in 2004, your mailbox is yours to keep for life, regardless of whether you renew your subscription next year.
Remember after paying the costs of this site all net revenue goes to TCHS Alumni Dollars for Scholars® to build our scholarship fund. We hope to make our first awards in Spring 2005. We'd also like to have a "kitty" that would allow us to send postcards when people's email fails; the USPS seems to want hard cash. Why not have a permanent alumni mailbox and a place in the list of donors to this worthy cause? Yes, we know, you could spend that same $19 - plus $20 more - at some other site and help its operators buy their yacht, but why would you want to?
Confidential as always: People can only contact you via the email link in your directory listing. Your address is not published (unless of course in a moment of foolishness you type it into a form to take advantage of a "free" offer). TCHS Alumni News will never sell your address to a telemarketer or spam artist.
To take advantage of this offer, follow the instructions to subscribe in the Membership section. Then write to the editor and ask for your mailbox. Allow about five business days. When the editor replies, your mailbox will be ready for use. We'll even update your alumni record to use your new address.
Judging by the length of time you've been reading this page, you're not doing anything else right now, so why not start now?
REVISED SEPT. 30, 2004. The automatically updated list now appears HERE. Please check in from time to time (a) to be sure you're not there and (b) to help us find missing friends. Remember: All contact data are confidential and are used only for purposes of the alumni association.
