Sep 15, 2005 --
Would your organization, business or family like to be a unique part of the history of Temple City?
As part of the 50th Anniversary Celebration for the Temple City Unified School District, the Temple City Chamber of Commerce is working with the Temple City Unified School District to promote the District’s Community Time Capsule Project. A time capsule vault holding 102 time capsules will be buried in the ground at Temple City High School and will be opened during the 2054-2055 school year!
For only $75 ($35 to reserve a space in the time capsule vault and $40 to purchase a time capsule) everyone can be part of Temple City’s legacy. Your $35 payment to reserve a space in the time capsule vault will be donated to the Temple City High School 2006 Senior Class.
The Oxford English Dictionary defines a time capsule as “a container used to store for prosperity a selection of objects thought to be representative of life at a particular time.”
The deadline to reserve a space is November 15, 2005.
Don’t wait--reserve your spot in history--containers and space are limited!
To participate in this unique and historical community event, contact the Chamber of Commerce at 626-286-3101.

Class of 1967’s Time Capsule canister needs more school memorabilia and historical artifacts related to our four year tenure at TCHS ( re: 1964-1967). If anyone would like to donate such item(s), please e-mail me at: eggers@rocketmail.com . So far we have a man’s and woman’s TCHS 10k Gold Class rings; Class of 1967’s graduating panoramic black & white photo; RAMS key-ring & Booster buttons; Two (2) Purple & Gold Class beanies; and miscellaneous school newspapers from our era. Presently a project is underway to have our entire TCHS Yearbook converted into digitized picture format and placed on a CD for inclusion into our class’ Time Capsule canister. Now what’s in your closet or garage you can donate that will fit into our 6”x 24” tube canister? |
