Class of 1960 Class List Available
May 27, 2002 --
The committee for the prospective 1960-64 reunion has supplied us with their working lists. We've cross-checked their list with our registered alumni. The list for the class of 1960 appears at right.
If you're a member of the class of 1960, please examine the list carefully, and let us know of any omissions or errors. (Not recognizing a name is a senior moment, not an error.) Many of the names are of students who came and went during the four year experience; if you're one of them, and whether you graduated officially or not, we welcome and encourage your participation in the association and the directory.
Over the next few weeks, as the reunion committee reviews the other class lists, we plan to publish additional lists. Please note again: Appearing on these lists does NOT constitute registration. If you haven't registered in the alumni directory, please click "Join Us" in the Table of Contents now!
(UPDATE 6/8/02: We have not received a response from any of the class committees. If ANYONE is able to review the list and pick out the members of his/her class, we'd be happy to share the raw name list. Some familiarity with data processing is required for this task. --Ed.)
Finally, if any of the persons listed is no longer living, please inform the editor. We'll add them to the directory with appropriate recognition.

Retired March 29, 2002 from L.A. County Fire Department after a 38 year career. Spent the last 19 years working on Catalina Island. I am currently sitting on the Board of Directors of the Catalina Island Conservancy, the Avalon Municipal Hospital & Clinic Foundation and the Avalon Lions Club. My wife Wendy a retired registered nurse and I just celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. We are building a new home here on the Island and continue to be involved in the community and to enjoy our Arabian Horses and other interests. We have two sons who are pilots in the Marine Corps and five grand children. All five of my brothers and sisters are alive and well as is my Dad. I lost my Mother in February. Looking forward to the 1960-64 reunion. |

Rees,
For your records, Fred Bateman and Jim Morton are no longer living. Fred died of cancer and Jim was killed in an automobile accident.

Have a question? You have my exwife listed as a member of your high school alumni, but she graduated from Noth Miami High School, North Miami Florida in 1960(June of that year) as we were going together for a year and on July 29,1960 we were married. The spelling of the Sysskind name only exhists in the U.S. of A. by my family. If you have a photgraph of this Carol Sellers Crosby Sysskind I would appreciate you e-mailing it. Thank You
