Classmates should make reservations for discounted rooms at the Queen Mary immediately, and surely before the hotel's drop-dead date of September 6. All the gory details are here.

UPDATE SEPT 11: An informal gathering is planned for Friday October 4 at the Observation Bar at the Queen Mary. No host. Arrive between 6:30 and 7:00 PM; stay until...? Details from Quila Creig: There is no food served in the Observation Bar.  There are three restaurants on the ship.  The most promising one is the Promenade Cafe - open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  The Sir Winston is pretty elegant, is open from 5:30 to 10:00 and has a bar.  There is another one that opens at 5:30 as well and is rather fancy, too.  If there is a party of 13 or more to eat at any of the restaurants you will want to contact Ryon at the Queen Mary for arrangements at (562) 499-1624.

Some important decisions require input from classmates.

Golf
Jon Greene '60 hopes to organize a golf outing in San Gabriel Valley on Oct. 4. Write to Jon via his directory link.
Video
Phil Jenkins, professional videographer and son of John Jenkins '60, has offered to tape the event and make an edited version available to participants. Pricing was not available at press time.
Please write to John Jenkins '60 using his email link in the Alumni Directory to indicate your interest.
About Phil Jenkins: Phil is a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona in Communications (TV). He worked in the broadcast industry for several years including a 5 year stint at Direct TV's South America broadcast center in Long Beach CA. His dream has always been to direct his own studio. To that end he has been the director of Teleministries at the Claremont United Church of Christ in Claremont, CA for over seven years. He shoots projects such as weddings and reunions and has recently completed a promotional video for the youth and camping programs in the church conference in So. California.
Activities
Most of the event plan is set, but there's still time to communicate your wishes to the committee or to volunteer for the inevitable last minute rush. The committee chairman is Richard Curtis '62. Contact Richard via the Alumni Directory.
