Recovery Odyssey Chronicled by Alumnus

Oct 09, 2002 -- Susan Stayton Platfoot, TCHS '65 has published her memoir of her experience with breast cancer over the past 6 years in a book entitled Susan's Story: A Faith Journey.Despite the difficult subject, the work is not a "downer," Susan said this week. It describes her attempt to transcend one of life's most trying experiences.
Susan told me her motivation is to push back against the disease that has affected her life and those of many others, including numerous TCHS friends and graduates. Susan donates proceeds from the book to breast cancer research.
The 50 page, softcover book is available from Susan, who is also the publisher. The price?: "Free" with a donation of $10 or more. Checks should be made payable to Susan Platfoot and mailed to 20201 Burnt Tree Lane, Walnut, Ca. 91789. Susan will be happy to fill any orders with alacrity!
