I noticed on your list of December holidays that you left out chanukah (sorry i spelled it wrong). I was just wondering why.

Tara: Good catch! No one noticed that for two years. No reason, actually. That was just a list we grabbed early on from some site as a test of an improvement to the system. Really never even looked at the content before. In fact, we're about to publish a whole new version of our calendar system, in which members will be able to add their own (alumni related) events and dates. We'll also subscribe automatically to professionally managed calendars - including a Holidays calendar. Like Eid, lunar-calendar Hanukkah (don't worry about the spelling; there are as many transliterations from the Hebrew as there are languages) moves around the solar calendar, and the site we got the list from apparently misplaced it in 2002 (or 5763 if you prefer). L'chaim!
